ASL has as goal, the professionalization of the subject application management.

The goal will be achieved by supplying a framework, wherein the processes of application management would be brought into relation with each other. With that, the framework will serve as steppingstone to categorise developed best practises. Besides the framework, ASL contains an uniform glossary of terminology. By making use of this terminology, the concerned parties would be able to communicate better with each other.

BPM-Forum (Netherlands)- The BPM-Forum is the neutral expert platform on Business Process Managment in the Netherlands. It aims to raise the awareness of the value and contribution which BPM can make to any organisation. This is achieved by bringing together members from the academic, user and supplier community.The BPM-Forum provides bi-monthly meetings for the Dutch BPM community where best practices, case studies and the theorectical background information is presented. These sessions vary in location and end with a social event. The website www.bpm-forum.org (dutch language used) is a portal to the local events and international information on BPM. The BPM-Forum also provides its members discounts to various BPM events like workshops and seminars. The BPM-Forum is endorsed by top Dutch academic and business professionals.
